HOME VILLAGES
Skiathos villages are realy unique. According
to the Greek ministry of Finance the land prices in Oia and
Imerovigli (both perched over the caldera cliff and offering
the amazing view to the volcano) are the higher in Greece.
Some of the villages remain untouched by the touristic development
and what they have in common is the fact that there is not
any road crossing the village and the car access is restricted.
Such villages are Oia, Imerovigli, Pyrgos, Megalochori and
Vothonas. All of them offer a view into the traditional architecture
of Skiathos in the past.
If you are after the caldera view have a look at: Fira, Oia,
Imerovigli, Firostefani, Megalochori and Akrotiri.
Finally for beach resorts check Kamari, Perissa and Perivolos.
